Elan Eyebrow Lamination Expert System «BROW FixUP» Step 1, 10 ml ( Airless Bottle)

BROW FixUP expert system in vacuum packaging by TM ÉLAN Professional Line, consists of Step 1 and Step 2 and developed by professional beauty specialists for the eyebrow lamination procedure. The solutions included in the system work exclusively in a complex and are not interchangeable.

Step 1 is used for the first part of the eyebrow lamination procedure. The soft formula allows the product to gently soften the hair cuticle, open the scales and carefully penetrate into the hair structure.
The pH of the solution is 9,0‒9,5.
The product doesn’t contain thioglycolic acid salt and ammonium hydroxide.

Step 1 contains several active ingredients that effectively remodel carefully disulfide bonds and sets the eyebrow hairs in place:

ethanolamine (mild alkali) opens cuticle scales and provides a softer effect on the hairs than traditional ammonium thioglycolate;
the innovative restructuring agent cysteamine hydrochloride remodels carefully disulfide bonds and sets the eyebrow hairs in place;
the nourishing keratin-based complex protects the protein structures of the eyebrow hairs during the lamination procedure;
urea retains the necessary moisture and protects the hairs from dryness and damage. This component also prevents possible dehydration and hair breakage.
NOTE! Over time Step 1 can have yellowish colour because of cysteamine hydrochloride peculiarities. The presence of sulfur odor is also acceptable.


How to use:

1. Analyze the eyebrow hair condition of a client- this will affect the exposure time of the lamination compositions:
1-st type: the eyebrow hairs are thick, spiky, not having undergone chemical procedures earlier (the eyebrow tinting or bleaching procedures) – processing time is 12–15 minutes;
2-nd type: the eyebrow hairs are of the medium thickness, natural, healthy or having undergone chemical procedures earlier (the eyebrow tinting or bleaching procedures) – processing time is 6–12 minutes.

2. Cleanse the eyebrow and the eyebrow area with ÉLAN Detox- Mousse with a degreasing effect.

3. Create the eyebrow shape.
Step 1:
apply a thin layer of the argan oil cream on the eyebrows and a thick layer on areas around the eyebrows;
use make-up brush in order to apply Step 1 on the eyebrows, then cover the application area with a laminating film. Depending on the initial condition of the eyebrow hairs, the exposure time of Step1 is 6 – 15 minutes;
when the processing time is finished, remove the film, carefully brush the hairs, carefully setting them in the right direction (it is important to take into account the natural direction of growth). If necessary, re-cover the eyebrow area with a film and leave for another 3-5 minutes.

NOTE! The maximum processing time should not exceed the processing time for the selected eyebrow hair type.
When the processing time is finished, remove the excess of the solution with a cotton pad, moistened with water.

4. Fix the eyebrow hair direction (Step 2).
Apply a thin layer of the argan oil cream by TM ELAN professional line on the eyebrows and a thicker layer – on the skin around the eyebrows.
Apply and spread Step 2 on the eyebrows setting the hairs carefully in the right direction. Cover the eyebrow area carefully with the special plastic film to enhance the solution effect.

NOTE! The amount of the solution of «Step 1» and «Step 2» must be the same.
NOTE! The exposure time of «Step 1» and «Step 2» must be the same.

When the processing time is finished, remove the excess of the solution with a cotton pad, moistened with water.
Apply «ELAN Cleansing Detox-Mousse for eyebrows and eyelashes» on the eyebrows to stop the chemical reaction. Remove foam with a cotton pad, moistened with water.

5. Use «ELAN COLOUR FIX» for the better results, if the eyebrow tinting procedure is not planned.
Apply the tinting mixture if the eyebrow tinting procedure is planned immediately after using «ELAN professional line Cleansing Detox-Mousse (look at Step 4).

NOTE! It is necessary to take into consideration that the eyebrow hair colour is supposed to be brighter and appear faster on the hairs when the eyebrow tinting procedure is performed.
– Use «ELAN COLOUR FIX: colour fixing fluid for eyebrows and eyelashes» after the eyebrow tinting procedure.

NOTE! The eyebrow shaping must be performed with the eyebrow tweezers only when the eyebrow lamination procedure is finished.

Eyebrow lamination procedure aftercare recommendations

It is not recommended to perform the henna eyebrow tinting and the eyebrow bleaching because the result can be highly unpredictable: the hair structure can be damaged (dry and dull hairs), which can cause hair fragility and loss.

It is highly recommended to avoid saunas, solariums and any mechanical damage of the created eyebrow shape (e.g. sleeping face down on the pillow) for 24 hours after the eyebrow lamination procedure.

It is highly recommended to avoid using the aggressive cosmetic products and undergoing the aggressive cosmetic procedures (scrubs, face peels, alcohol based lotions, laser treatments) for 48 hours after the eyebrow lamination procedure.
